New role of the HEI

Learning how to learn

The current paradigm of learning is being redefined. Educational institutions are no longer the only place where knowledge is stored nor the exclusive environment where learning happens. Today we have access to more information and knowledge that we could ever have time to digest in a lifetime, but we lack the tools to successfully make sense and navigate this complex open ocean of infinite content. To thrive in this new context, HEIs need to help individuals develop skills and mindsets to understand, design and apply the most fruitful frames and conditions to facilitate our own learning and reflection processes. Focusing on learning how to learn is an opportunity for HEIs to deliver value to those embarking in a learning journey that will require people to become their own guides and facilitators in this process.
